CD: Dolly Parton - Better Day

Thanks for your review. However, I found it a very easy CD to listen to and enjoyed it a lot. I haven't tired of it yet and I found it very layered and nuanced the more I listened. Songs like 'Somebody's Missing You,' with backig by Krauss and Emmy Lou Harris is really simple and beautiful. 'I Just Might,' very poignant. 'Get out and Stay out,' is fesity and very down to earh and punchy. I found tracks such as 'In the Meantime and Country is as Country does,' really lively and must dance to. I didn't feel overwhelmed by religious references, Dolly Parton has always had those in her works right back to her work in the Late sixties and seventies. She hasn't changed and has always followed her line, that's why she's kept herself up there and on top of the game, basically through her own single handed graft and grind and usually despite popular trends. She pleases her fans abouve all. In addition, there is always something new, something special to doscover each time she tours, she is never happy to churn the same songs over, she tries each time to have something new and improved so fans can look forward to each concert.
