Book tickets for a live arts debate and afterparty to celebrate our 2nd birthday
On 9 September theartsdesk, Britain's first professional arts journalism site, will be two years old. To celebrate we’re holding a live debate with four leading performers during the Kings Place Festival. An actor, a singer, a dancer and an instrumentalist will share their different experiences of performance. Join us, live or online, for a stellar event.

Leading performers in different art forms join us for a live debate and lunchtime reception in the Kings Place Festival.
Actor Toby Jones, acclaimed for his role as Truman Capote in the film Infamous, has starred in the West End and with the National Theatre, and is about to be seen in the new film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Singer-songwriter Mara Carlyle’s latest album Floreat, released last week, is being hailed as “an out-and-out masterpiece", that is "destined to become a classic".
The exceptional young Iranian harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani is a BBC New Generation Artist who has just debuted at the Proms and is seen as redefining the instrument.
English National Ballet principal ballerina Bridgett Zehr has danced great classical roles in theatres and arenas around the world.
The panellists will discuss how performance varies from art to art and from venue to venue. They will share their inspirations, taking questions from the floor. The event will be filmed for online streaming. Ticket-buyers will be guests at theartsdesk’s birthday reception after the event. (Panellists have varied because of schedule changes)
