Comedy Showcase: Campus, Channel 4

It's Green Wing, but in a university

Calling all Green Wing fans: Andy Nyman stars in Victoria Pile's new comedy, Campus.

Green Wing, but set in a university” is one of those useful handles that reviewers were always going to grasp when discussing Victoria Pile’s new improvised ensemble comedy, Campus, the opening try-out in Channel 4’s new Comedy Showcase season of sitcom pilots. For once, the handy nut-shell description is spot on. Campus is precisely that: Green Wing, but set in a university – and as a fan of Green Wing I should feel that that is good thing. However I’m not sure the formula has survived the relocation from hospital to campus.

this was fantastic, I haven't seen writing as good as this in comedy on our television in a vey long time. long live campus and all involved. Fantastic from casting, acting to script. well done channel 4.

Why is this only a pilot. GIVE HER A SERIES NOW YOU MOTHERS! (with apologies to Alan Partridge).

I loved Green Wing. Campus was awful; painful, disjointed, and determined to use rude words just for the sake of it. After 20 minutes of desperately staring at the screen trying to find something to laugh at, I switched off.

i think campus is brilliant i hope they continue with it. nyman is hilarious.
