Glasgow Music Programme 2012/13

The 2012/13 Glasgow music programme has been announced. Highlights include a focus on three legendary Minimalists: Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Arvo Part. Reich and the London Sinfonietta premiere Reich's new work, Radio Rewrite, over a weekend in which the American composer takes centre stage. There is the UK premiere of Philip Glass's Sixth Symphony, as part of a Philip Glass four-day residency. And Paul Hillier brings Ars Nova to Glasgow for two concerts of choral, instrumental and organ music by Arvo Part. The Tallis Scholars celebrate their 40th birthday with a rare performance of Tallis's Spem in Alium. The celebrate baritone Florian Boesch joins Malcolm Martineau for all three of Schubert's great song cycles.  Richard Goode plays Beethoven, Elisabeth Leonskaja Schubert.
